Thierry Henry has claimed that he ‘can’t see’ anyone else apart from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City or Bayern Munich winning this season’s Champions League, as he told CBS Sports on Paramount+ (15/02/22 at 7:05 pm).

Chelsea are the current holders, whilst Liverpool face Inter Milan in the first-leg of their Champions League last 16-tie on Wednesday night and Bayern Munich travel to Austria to take on RB Salzburg.

Manchester City have already been in action after they thrashed Sporting Lisbon 5-0 last night, as Chelsea, after their Club World Cup triumph, take on Lille next week for their two-legged Champions League affair.

Either way, it’s set to be another nail-biting, action-packed and drama-filled few months in the race to win the biggest domestic prize in Europe.

And Henry made it clear which teams he thinks have a realistic chance of walking away with the glory.

“Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich, for me,” said Henry. “I can’t see them not winning it.

“But I thought if they beat each other in the draws before, then anything can happen. Then you play a team in the final in a one-off game. But that will be my choice.”

Once again, Man City are the favourites given the type of football they have been producing and the money they have spent to get to their current situation.

Falling at the last hurdle last season was pretty hard to take for Pep Guardiola and his players.

But they will want to use that pain of last season to push them towards their very first European Cup.

However, there are a few experts flying about in Bayern, Liverpool and Real Madrid – who were beaten by PSG in their first leg encounter last night – that will have something else to say about that.
