Strike Might Last Till December If FG Refuses To Address Our Needs – ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has stated that the ongoing strike might last till the end of the year if the Federal Government refuses to attend to their needs.

The union’s National President, Emmanuel Osodeke disclosed this during an interview with Punch, expressing that universities be open for students to resume studying only if the government addresses the pressing issues.

When asked, ‘What if the government refuses to attend to ASUU throughout this year?.

Osodeke replied by saying, “We will stay at home.”

He further said, “Nigeria should do the right thing and implement our agreement, upgrade the university system, and fund universities appropriately so that we can attract students from all over the world.”
