Kwara State Association Of Hairdressers And Cosmetologists Association (KWASHCO)

The Kwara state association of hairdressers and cosmetologists was founded in the year 1990. We are registered under the Kwara state body of Artisan. We aim to provide a platform for dealing with established problems with Hairdressers and Cosmetologists and also to ensure a high level of professionalism in the field of hairdressing and cosmetology in Kwara state. The motto of our association is “LOVE AND PEACE”. The Kwara state association of hairdressers and cosmetologists (KWASHCO) is an active association with over 5,000 registered members.

We have about 80 zones in 16 local government of Kwara state. The state body is headed by President and Executives, the local governments are headed by a chairperson and the Zonal heads are responsible for the areas under each local government.

The KWASHCO buys and sells hair tools and cosmetics within ourselves, holds her meetings on the first Mondays of each month and an annual general meeting, exhibitions every October inclusively.

We have support from the Kwara State Government as a whole, Kings and , kingsmen who grace our events and heed to our calls whenever we summon.

Our goal is to empower the less privileged who are willing to learn the art of hair making and makeup, having the superb backup and support from the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak.
